In the end, Josh Brolin appears to have emerged victorious. This will be his second Marvel Comics character, already playing the villain Thanos in the Marvel Studios/Disney movies. The Hollywood Reporter is also citing a source that says that Brolin is signed for four films.

David Leitch is directing the Deadpool sequel for Fox, with production to start in Vancouver this June.
Ryan Reynolds is reprising his role as the wisecracking mercenary, now being joined by Atlanta breakout Zazie Beetz as a fellow super-powered mercenary named Domino.
Brolin will apear as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War in 2018.
