Thor 4 is now to be known as Thor: Love and Thunder! During Marvel’s Comic Con Panel Taika Waititi was confirmed to be returning to the helm. With no surprise to anyone also returning are Thor: Ragnarok co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson reprising their roles as Thor and Valkyrie respectively. However there was one bit of casting that they delivered that was rather surprising, that Natalie Portman would not only be returning, but would be taking on the title of Thor herself!
Portman has long been involved in the Thor franchise, having been in 2 of the 3 films thus far, albeit relegated to a supporting player in those films. That will not be the case in Thor: Love and Thunder, whereas she’ll get a chance to wield the hammer Mjolnir. Thor 4 is certainly shaping up to be one highly anticipated movie. We’ll have to wait until November 5, 2021 to see how mighty this movie can be.
