‘Titans’ Season Two To Drop In Fall

The second season of Titans is set to premiere September 6th and see our heroes of the first season joined by Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy, Drew Van Acker as Aqualad, Natlie Gumede as Mercy Graves, Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne, Chella Man as Jericho Wilson, Chelsea T. Zhang as Rose Wilson, and Esai Morales as Deathstroke. If new Titans weren’t enough, our heroes will get new costume redesigns as well. Footage was shown including first looks at some of the new cast, but the clip is not yet available online. No word if this or other DC Universe shows will also be available on HBO MAX like Doom Patrol will.

Production on Titans had been shut down for two days following the tragedy of a stunt performer dying while rehearsing a stunt. The show’s producers, Warner Bros. TV and DC Universe, said Thursday in a statement:

“We are heartbroken and devastated by the passing of our treasured colleague, special effects coordinator Warren Appleby, after an accident which occurred at a special effects facility during the preparation and testing for an upcoming shoot. Warren is beloved by all who worked with him during an impressive 25-year career in television and motion pictures. The executive producers, along with everyone in the Titans family, Warner Bros. Television Group and DC Universe, wish to express our deepest condolences, and heartfelt love and support, to Warren’s family and friends at this most difficult time.”

The incident took place at a special effects shop in Toronto during testing for the stunt. A memorial fund for his family is currently raising money on GoFundMe.

Titans will return September 6th on DC Universe.
