Support

Last updated: 7 September 2026

Different tastes are the whole problem, and FlickItPickIt turns them into one decision. If something on movie night isn’t going to plan — a code that won’t join, an invitation that won’t open, a subscription question — this page has the honest answers, and a real address to write to.

Contact

Email support@flickitpickit.com and a person will read it. It is the same address as our privacy contact, so please put Support in the subject line to help us sort it.

Frequently asked questions

How does a movie night work?

  1. Plan it. Choose films, TV or both, how many people are joining, and the mood.
  2. Invite. Share the eight-character join code or a link, or send an email invitation. People join from the iOS app or from any browser at flickitpickit.com — same night, same room.
  3. Swipe. Everyone sees the same suggestions and marks the ones they would watch.
  4. Match. When enough of the group likes the same title, it becomes a match.
  5. Rank. Each person puts their top three matches in order.
  6. Pick. The two highest-ranked titles go to a final vote, and the winner is the night’s pick.

Watching on your own? A solo night skips the ranking and the vote, and turns everything you liked into a watchlist.

What do I get on Free, and what does Pro add?

  • Free3 movie nights a month, whether you host one, join someone else’s, or watch on your own. Groups of up to 4 people. No card needed.
  • Pro — unlimited nights, groups of up to 10 people, and a name for each night.

A group night counts towards the free allowance when it finishes, and it counts for everyone who was still in it — including people who only joined. A solo night counts when you start it. A night you delete before it finishes costs nothing. Rating something you watched afterwards earns a night back, once a month.

New Pro subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Plan lengths and the price in your local currency are shown in the app or on the website before you confirm anything.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Manage a subscription wherever you bought it.

  • Bought in the iOS app — Apple handles the billing. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad to change the plan or switch off auto-renew.
  • Bought on the website — manage it on the website, from your account.

The two are separate arrangements: cancelling one never cancels the other. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and payment is taken within the 24 hours before the period ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

Already subscribed to Pro on the website? Sign in with the same account in the app and Pro is recognised there. There is nothing to buy twice.

Where does streaming availability come from?

Titles, artwork, synopses, certifications and where something can be watched all come from third-party catalogue data. Availability differs by country, changes over time, and rentals or purchases cost extra — so check the service itself before you settle in, and bring your own streaming subscriptions.

FlickItPickIt recommends titles and helps a group decide between them. It does not stream anything and it is not a video player. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Watch-provider data is supplied by JustWatch through TMDB.

How do invitations and join codes work?

  • Join codes are eight characters, and anyone holding one can join that night. They never contain O, I, Q, zero or one, so they are easy to read aloud.
  • Emailed invitations are personal. The link is single-use, it belongs to the address it was sent to, and it expires 24 hours after it is sent. If it has already been used or has expired, ask the host to send another one, or join with the code instead.

How do I delete my account?

  • In the iOS app — Your account → Delete account, confirmed by re-entering your password.
  • On the web — there is no self-service delete button yet. Email support@flickitpickit.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.

An active subscription bought through Apple must be cancelled separately in Settings → Subscriptions, as Apple requires. Deleting your account does not cancel it. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data afterwards.

How do I sign in?

  • Email address and password.
  • A magic link emailed to you, if you would rather not type a password.
  • Google.
  • Sign in with Apple, in the iOS app.

One account works everywhere: the same sign-in covers the app and the website, and both can sit in the same movie night.

How old do I have to be?

You must be at least 13 years old to have a FlickItPickIt account. We ask for a date of birth at signup and refuse accounts under 13. Suggestions can include adult-rated titles, with their artwork and synopses, unless family-friendly mode is switched on for the night.

Report a problem

Something broken, something wrong, or someone behaving badly in a night? Email support@flickitpickit.com. The more of this you can include, the faster we can find it:

  • The device and app version, or the browser, you were using.
  • The eight-character code of the night it happened in.
  • The email address on your account.
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot, if you have one.

Please don’t send passwords or payment details — we never need them.
